Well it's hard to believe we've had four weeks of the GGCC term already. This week we're having a bit of a break while the schools enjoy their half term hols.
All the concert dates have been finalised now...yay! First is Wednesday 7th Dec, 7.30pm @ St Edyth's Church, Sea Mills. Second is Sunday 11th Dec, 6.30pm @ St Mark's Baptist Church, Easton and third is Thursday 15th Dec, 7.30pm @ Cairns Road Baptist Church. We're looking forward to the challenge of fittting a choir numbering up to 140 into each of those spaces, and having room for audiences!!! We'll be sending posters for the concerts out soon...but you can start inviting your friends and family now! We have coaches booked to transport the Shirehampton gang to the Easton and Westbury Park concerts and are looking to book transport for the Easton guys/gals to get to Sea Mills and Westbury Park.
Our last couple of rehearsals have been fab...so impressed with how quickly everyone is picking up the songs and coping with slightly unsual lyrics like "behold he comes, riding on the clouds, shining like the sun at the trumpet call"...where would we all be without Geraldine's top actions eh! Well we're looking forward to the countdown to our concerts...each choir is having a social next half term too, it's a hard life having to eat some food together!
